'Odalisques' by Yuriy Zakordonets.Odalisque was a chamber-mate or a female attendant in a Turkish harem. Odalisques were ranked at the bottom of social stratification of harem serving not the man of the household but his wives. In popular use, the word Odalisque may refer to a mistress of a wealthy man. During XIX century Odalisques became common fantasy figures in an artistic movement known as Orientalism, being featured in many erotic paintings from that era.
Multi-paneled painting is mounted on stretchers (0.9″ depth); ready to be hanged on the wall (no frame).
It can be placed on the wall as a diptych with a gap in between.
